Leaders have new ideas. They want to improve their organizations. They roll out programs and communicate expectations. Too often, they do this once and expect the organization changes, instantly, because they willed it.
The reality is for lasting change to become rooted, the leader must repeat the message. Over and over and over. Until it seems every last person must have heard it hundreds of times. And about the time the leader is turning blue in the face from talking so consistently and persistently, only then is the change beginning to take root.
Choose wisely which messages you really want to drive through your organization. You are the champion and immense energy is required if you want to be effective.
